QC Due Diligence Compliance Analyst
What You'll Do
- Audit loan documentation for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review defects cited by third-party diligence firms to ensure loans meet investor quality standards.
- Maintain oversight of diligence pipelines to ensure timely remediation of open defects.
- Conduct reviews of AmeriHome loans for compliance with regulations such as TILA, RESPA, TRID, and ECOA.
- Report findings to management regarding patterns of deficiencies from investors.
- Participate in the remediation of identified defects with Operations and/or Correspondent Sellers.
- Monitor the implementation of action plans based on Quality Control Findings.
- Communicate identified defects effectively to internal and external counterparts.
- Assist in interpreting compliance defects and preparing appeals or rebuttals.
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of related experience in Mortgage Regulatory Compliance, Mortgage Quality Control, or similar fields.
- High school diploma required; some college or technical training preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending, including sales, operations, capital markets, and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, USDA, and VA guidelines.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional preferred.
- Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) preferred.
Compensation
Hourly range for new hires is generally $40.45 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
