Position Summary We are seeking an experienced QC & Compliance Manager to lead quality control, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and material release activities within our manufacturing operation in Norristown, PA. This is a mid-to-senior-level management position responsible for both hands-on quality leadership and the day-to-day management and development of the quality team. The ideal candidate brings a strong manufacturing background, prior people management experience, and demonstrated success leading quality processes in a production environment. Reporting to the Product Integrity team, this role is responsible for ensuring raw materials, production processes, and finished products meet company quality requirements and applicable global regulatory standards while supporting production and shipping schedules. The QC & Compliance Manager will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), material and finished goods release, CAPA and nonconformance processes, internal audits, supplier quality, quality reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires someone who can balance rigorous quality and compliance requirements with the realities of a fast-paced manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will be comfortable making decisions, managing competing priorities, developing employees, partnering with production leadership, and driving accountability across quality processes. Key Responsibilities Quality & Manufacturing Operations Lead day-to-day quality activities within the Norristown manufacturing operationCoordinate the release of raw materials and finished products against production and shipping schedules while maintaining required quality and compliance standardsMaintain accurate traceability and documentation of raw materials, production lots, testing results, and finished product statusPartner closely with Production, Supply Chain, Shipping, Warehouse, R&D, and Product Integrity to resolve quality issues and prevent unnecessary production delaysProvide quality leadership and decision-making support when production, material, or finished product issues ariseEnsure chemical compounding and manufacturing processes are supported by appropriate quality controls, documentation, and testing requirements Quality Management Systems & Continuous Improvement Own and maintain QMS documentation and quality assurance processes supporting manufacturing operationsDevelop, implement, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation to support operational consistency, laboratory compliance, and audit readinessLead investigations into nonconformances, quality failures, and recurring product issuesLead root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans with measurable outcomesAnalyze quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvementEstablish and monitor quality KPIs and provide regular reporting to leadership on quality performance, risks, corrective actions, and improvement initiativesOrganize and lead internal quality audits and ensure timely resolution of identified findings Regulatory & Global Compliance Ensure products consistently meet applicable company standards and global regulatory requirementsMonitor and communicate regulatory developments, trends, and risks that may impact products or manufacturing processesSupport the global quality compliance program across markets including the U.S., EU, UK, Asia, Middle East, and Australia/New ZealandServe as a quality and technical liaison to overseas QA teams, transferring QA/QC knowledge, testing requirements, and company quality standardsEnsure overseas manufactured products conform to established company quality and testing requirements Supplier & Customer Quality Partner with vendors and contract manufacturers to ensure raw materials, components, and finished products meet established specificationsCommunicate supplier nonconformances and drive timely investigation, corrective action, and resolutionEvaluate customer complaints, product feedback, and quality nonconformities to identify root causes and prevent recurrencePartner with internal stakeholders to address quality issues that may affect customers, production, or product availability Team Leadership & People Management Directly supervise, coach, and develop members of the quality teamManage workload distribution, priorities, performance expectations, and day-to-day team activitiesProvide regular feedback, coaching, and technical guidance to team membersDevelop team capabilities and ensure employees are appropriately trained on quality procedures, testing requirements, and compliance standardsFoster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the quality functionEffectively communicate priorities, risks, and quality expectations to both frontline employees and senior leadership Requirements Required Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Quality, Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field OR 5+ years of progressive quality management experience in toy manufacturing, consumer products, chemical manufacturing/compounding, or a related manufacturing environmentDemonstrated quality experience within a manufacturing or production environmentPrior people management experience, including direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and developing employeesDemonstrated ability to lead a quality function or team and manage competing operational prioritiesExperience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), SOP development, document control, and audit readinessExperience leading internal quality auditsExperience managing CAPA, nonconformance, root cause analysis, and corrective action processesStrong understanding of manufacturing quality controls, material traceability, and product release processesExperience analyzing quality data, identifying trends, and developing meaningful KPIs and management reportingStrong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and project management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across production, technical, operational, and leadership teamsAbility to work onsite in Norristown, PA five days per week Preferred Experience within toy, consumer product, chemical compounding, plastics, or similar manufacturing environmentsExperience managing global regulatory compliance across multiple international marketsKnowledge of toy and/or consumer product safety and testing standardsExperience working with international manufacturing facilities, suppliers, laboratories, or overseas QA teamsProficiency with analytical instrumentation such as FTIR/ATR, texture analyzers, and TGAFormal training or
