Responsibilities

  • Perform testing of pharmaceutical solid dosage forms for release and stability, primarily using dissolution and HPLC methods.
  • Initiate quality records (e.g., deviation, OOS/OOT) and perform CAPA actions as assigned by management.
  • Support senior staff members in their responsibilities and tasks, including revising Standard Operating Procedures or Test Methods as needed.
  • Conduct laboratory testing, including dissolution, spectroscopy, HPLC analysis, and visual inspection.
  • Maintain equipment logbooks in compliance with cGMP guidelines.
  • Utilize laboratory data systems (e.g., Empower, LIMS) for acquiring and processing data.
  • Perform data management, data review, and report writing assignments.
  • Maintain data integrity standards and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Calibrate laboratory instruments and perform chemical inventories as non-essential duties.
  • Serve as a backup for training newer employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or another science-related discipline.
  • 1+ years of practical related experience preferred.
  • Experience with HPLC and/or dissolution testing preferred.
  • Experience with GMPs, GCPs, and/or GLPs is preferred.
  • Experience with a Quality Management system is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+.
  • Strong laboratory documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills in English.
  • Ability to work efficiently, meet goals, and adapt to a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Authorized to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Work Environment

  • Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.
  • Close visual acuity required for data analysis, transcription, computer work, and extensive reading.
  • Occasional work in a clean and/or sterile laboratory environment, requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, lab coats, respirators).
  • No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Pay

The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates is $50,000 to $60,000, based on factors such as education, relevant experience, knowledge, and organizational needs.
