About the role

Eurofins PSS is hiring a QC Analytical Chemist to support GMP testing of pharmaceutical in‑process, raw materials, intermediates, APIs, and stability samples. The successful candidate will also support investigations of invalid results and method‑transfer activities, and must demonstrate high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and review in accordance with approved methods, specifications, protocols, and compendial requirements.
• Follow GMP regulations, including 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211, and applicable ICH guidelines.
• Test pharmaceutical samples including in‑process, raw materials, intermediates, API, stability, and more.
• Participate in method transfer, qualification, and verification studies.
• Support investigations for OOS, OOT, and invalid results.
• Utilize analytical techniques such as NMR, GC, LC, ICP‑OES, IR, RI, UV‑Vis, Conductivity, Specific Rotation, Titration, TGA, and others.
• Reference standard qualification and management.
• Perform elemental impurities and residual solvent testing and review.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field with at least one year of GMP/GLP testing experience, or MS with at least six months of industry GMP/GLP testing experience.
• At least one year of industry experience with Liquid Chromatography (LC), Conductivity, and Titration.
• Proven experience with at least two of the following techniques/instruments: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Gas Chromatography (GC), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP‑OES), Infrared Spectroscopy (IR), Refractive Index (RI), Ultraviolet‑Visible (UV‑Vis), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA).
• Knowledge and in‑depth understanding of GMPs, ICH, and 21 CFR guidelines.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Preferred: At least one year of GMP experience.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $21.50 to $34.75 per hour, based on education and related experience.

Schedule

This permanent, full‑time position includes overtime as needed. Work hours are 6 am – 6 pm on a rotating schedule: Sunday‑Monday‑Tuesday (36 hours) and Wednesday‑Thursday‑Friday (48 hours). Candidates within commuting distance of Albany, NY are encouraged to apply.
