QC Analyst II - Microbial Control (Night Shift)
About the role
Join our Quality Microbial Control team and play a key role in supporting the production and release of life-saving therapies. In this role, you will contribute to critical microbiological testing and ensure high-quality, timely results that support manufacturing and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological testing to support in-process, lot release, and stability studies for drug products
- Execute environmental, utility, and HVAC monitoring and sampling throughout the facility
- Analyze and review microbiological assay data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
- Apply company procedures and quality standards to complete a variety of laboratory tasks
- Identify and assess deviations from standard practices, escalating issues as appropriate
- Utilize laboratory systems and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting
- Ensure compliance with data integrity principles, cGMP requirements, and internal quality policies
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field (or equivalent combination of education and experience), along with 2-4 years of experience in a Quality Control or microbiology laboratory environment. Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and laboratory practices, as well as the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve moderately complex problems, are also required. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and document results clearly, are necessary. Proficiency with laboratory systems and Microsoft Office tools, along with self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to quality and safety, are essential qualities.
Qualifications
This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.
Skills
Associate's degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
2–4 years of experience in a Quality Control or microbiology laboratory environment
Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and laboratory practices
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve moderately complex problems
