QA/Test Developer Intern: Systems Assurance - Poughkeepsie, NY - 2027

Role and Responsibilities

• Install and test hardware systems hands-on.
• Validate and characterize processors and systems.
• Support customers and field engineers with technical solutions.
• Design and test firmware architectures.
• Analyze failures and improve system reliability.
• Automate test suites and simulate customer environments.
• Develop and document test plans and procedures.
• Contribute to internal and external code repositories.
• Collaborate with global development teams.
• Install, configure, and validate AI Large Language Models (LLMs).

Bachelor's Degree Required

Technical and Professional Expertise

• Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as C++, C, Java, Ruby, Python, Perl, SQL.
• Experience with application development and databases.
• Ability to design scalable APIs, servers, services, and applications.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication, design, problem solving and testing skills.
• Curiosity, creativity, and a client-first mindset.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Familiarity with industry-leading practices for exploratory testing and test automation, including unit tests, integration tests, and functional tests.
• Knowledge of quality technologies and testing standards, including their application in ensuring product robustness and failure scenario refactoring.
• Familiarity with tools and techniques used for defect identification, root cause analysis, and prevention methods.
