Your Role And Responsibilities
- Assist in the testing of mainframe hardware components including processors, memory modules, and I/O systems
- Collaborate with firmware and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
- Help diagnose and resolve hardware issues through testing, debugging, and failure analysis
- Support lab testing efforts, including hardware bring-up, functional verification, and environmental testing
- Contribute to technical documentation for procedures, and test results
- Designing and implementing test automation to deliver test cases into automated regression buckets

- Bachelor's Degree Required
Technical And Professional Expertise
- Fundamental education in hardware, software, or testing
- Strong communication skills
- Passion to pursue career path in engineering

- Python coding and scripting
- Strong knowledge or experience working with Linux
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Experience with IBM System Z in any capacity, including operating systems such as z/VM and/or z/OS
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration
- Experience with OpenShift Container Platform
- Experience with Linux KVM
