About the role
Responsible for supporting the QA department through product control, verification procedures, organization, compliance and inspection of finished goods.
Responsibilities
- Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights)
- Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.)
- Finished product quality checks
- CCP Direct Observations and documentation
- Metal Detector calibrations & documentation
- Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant
- Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance
- Check bellies at Bacon Press for proper temperature and feel of belly
- Lead and document leaker checks
- Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation
- Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros
- Return product checks/releases
- Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations
- Printing cool down charts for process control sheets
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak & understand English
- Bilingual Spanish desired
- One year of experience in QA/QC department in a manufacturing environment desired
- HACCP & SQF training/certification desired
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely & effective manner
- Microsoft Office Experience required

Wage Range: $24.45 Differential: none
