Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, and/or operations.
- Evaluate and maintain the quality of products and processes through standard procedures and systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards).
- Assure and maintain the quality of products through quality audits/review processes.
- Identify and address issues with equipment performance.
- Audit, monitor, and determine the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
- Report and troubleshoot manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
- Conduct tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience.
- Associate's Degree in Discipline/Major: Quality or related degree preferred.
- Technical expertise.
- Ability to identify and seek needed information.
- Research skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions
- Define and specify activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
- Build and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
- Identify and address any issues with equipment performance.
Physical Requirements
- Regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
- This position is Safety-Sensitive.
Travel Requirements
No or very little travel likely.
