QA Technician II - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, and/or operations.
  • Evaluate and maintain the quality of products and processes through standard procedures and systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards).
  • Assure and maintain the quality of products through quality audits/review processes.
  • Identify and address issues with equipment performance.
  • Audit, monitor, and determine the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
  • Report and troubleshoot manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
  • Conduct tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience.
  • Associate's Degree in Discipline/Major: Quality or related degree preferred.
  • Technical expertise.
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information.
  • Research skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions

  • Define and specify activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
  • Identify and address any issues with equipment performance.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
  • This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Travel Requirements

No or very little travel likely.
