QA Technician -2nd shift

About the Role

This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and ensure it is filled out correctly.
• Interact and communicate with team members in management, QA, production, government officials, and third-party contractors.
• Perform all QA Technician responsibilities, including routine quality checks and audits on production, the dock, and the facility.
• Develop and maintain databases as needed.
• Perform QA sampling and testing methods.
• Understand processes and methods involved in food production.
• Adhere to and practice appropriate safety procedures through education, training, use of protective equipment, and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
• Competence in QA transactions, SAP, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Understanding of GMP’s, SSOP’s, and HACCP principles.
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.75 to $24.25 per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.

This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differentials, and/or bonus opportunities, as applicable.

Work Environment

• Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment with standard office equipment available.
• Work conditions are typical of an office and plant environment.
• Required to wear extensive GMP uniforms including hairnet, gloves, lab coats, and rubber boots.
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves, bump cap, and steel mesh gloves.
• Physical requirements include continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, using hands or fingers, talking, hearing, and feeling objects, tools, or controls.
• Position requires standing/walking on concrete flooring for the duration of work hours.
