QA Technician

About the role

As part of Richardson's global agriculture and food business, our Food and Ingredients division plays a vital role in connecting farm to table through a vertically integrated supply chain. As a leading pasta manufacturer, Richardson produces a wide range of high-quality dry pasta products serving diverse markets and consumer needs. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician at our pasta production facility in New Hope, Minnesota.

Our overnight shift offers a consistent work schedule, less traffic during your commute, and the flexibility to balance daytime commitments such as family, school, or personal pursuits. In addition, night-shift employees enjoy a quieter work environment while playing a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of the products our customers rely on every day.

Responsibilities

• Test samples to ensure product quality, safety, and specification compliance
• Audit production and packaging for accuracy in shapes, specifications, storage, packaging, labeling and coding
• Identify and manage non-conforming products and food safety hazards, ensuring issues are investigated and recommending solutions
• Maintain records, documentation, and retention samples
• Proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• Previous work in a food manufacturing environment
• Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in QA testing

Physical Requirements

• Crouch, kneel, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, lift/carry (up to 50 pounds), sit, stand and walk for extended periods
• Work in dusty, high heat/humidity environment
• Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually
