About the role
The QA Supervisor reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for managing the QA Inspection and Gage Calibration areas. Key responsibilities include overseeing personnel, ensuring compliance with procedures, maintaining quality records, inspecting parts, and collaborating with production.
Responsibilities
- Manages personnel including hiring, training, professional development, performance reviews, and coaching.
- Works with leadership to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.
- Ensures compliance with procedures and work instructions pertaining to the quality function.
- Directs activities of assigned personnel to see that all parts are processed in a timely manner.
- Maintains an effective action system to analyze nonconforming conditions and complaints.
- Schedule Management Review Team (MRT) disposition meetings.
- Supports Calibration Lab Compliance.
- Ensures compliance with AS9100.
- Maintains quality records.
- Inspects and evaluates customer returns.
- Inspects parts – Examples: First Piece Inspection, In process, Final Inspection, Auto-Inspection.
- Collaborates with production to ensure timely inspections.
- Observes and applies department and company Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical or advanced education, preferred.
- Entry Level Experience: 5 years Quality Assurance inspection in an industrial component manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, preferred.
- 1 year supervisory or leadership experience, preferred.
- Experience in creating PPAPs, preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.

- Knowledge of Quality process maps and Lean Standard Work.
- Knowledge of inspection methods and tools.
- Basic shop math, through Algebra.
- Ability to Lead others.
- Ability to read blueprints, including GD & T.
- Attention to detail.
- High quality standards of work for both self and others.
- Teamwork skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
