QA Supervisor

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for providing administrative and leadership support to the QA Manager, and provides leadership to the Quality inspection team.

Responsibilities

• Provides inspection support as needed to maintain throughput and processing of product.
• Keeps the QA Manager abreast of significant issues or developments identified during Quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
• Reviews and verifies non‑conforming materials and initiates and follows up on associated corrective actions as required.
• Maintains process performance charting.
• Investigates customer returned goods and applies the appropriate actions and dispositions.
• Conducts audits to ensure that all processes meet regulatory standards.
• Supports external audits (as applicable).
• Trains employees on new procedures or processes that impact their job responsibilities.
• Monitors employee attendance to ensure that the team has the manpower needed to complete projects on time.
• Monitors employees’ performance to identify areas for improvement or corrective action.
• Leads root cause investigations utilizing 5‑Why, Fishbone, RCCA, and other structured problem‑solving methods.
• Facilitates corrective and preventative action implementation.
• Monitors effectiveness of corrective actions and preventative measures.
• Analyzes quality metrics, scrap trends, defect trends, escapes, and customer complaints.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing variation and improving product quality.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing quality experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of: AS9100, AS9102, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), First Article Inspection (FAI), GD&T, Blueprint Reading, Nonconforming Material Control, Internal Auditing.

Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) (preferred)
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) (preferred)
• Lead Auditor Training (preferred)
• Nadcap audit experience (preferred)
• Composite manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Experience with ERP, QMS, Power BI, and quality reporting systems (preferred)
