QA Supervisor

Responsibilities
- Serve as a leader in the Exotic Metals Forming Division, overseeing and directing the work of team members in assigned areas.
- Effectively grow future key employees and leaders within the division.
- Distribute workload appropriately and motivate and empower team members.
- Develop team members, including creating and executing individual development plans.
- Train and mentor team members in root cause analysis and PDCA.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform root cause analysis and participate in cost-reduction programs.
- Deploy standardized work instructions and ensure process stability.
- Conduct improvement events in the department, resulting in measurable improvements in unit time and part flow.
- Drive measurable cost reduction through improved processes and training.
- Perform capacity analysis using build plans and determine staffing requirements.
- Ensure departmental productivity targets are met to meet customer requirements.
- Advocate the direction, goals, and decisions of the organization.
- Troubleshoot scheduling and material issues.
- Ensure quality standards are met, emphasizing continuous improvement to enhance quality inspection capability and reduce rework and scrap.
- Contain sources of quality issues and communicate with customers to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Coordinate corrective action activities and support NADCAP, customer, and internal audits of QA inspection processes and procedures.
- Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety investigations and audits, address safety non-compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.
- 5+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing environments with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Experience with QA, NDT, and inspection concepts, practices, and procedures, including disposition of nonconforming material.
- Experience with QA Inspector training, creation, and approval of inspection techniques, and troubleshooting of process issues.
- Solid understanding and experience with concepts associated with Kaizen and Lean principles.
- Ability to assess the overall health of a department or value stream through the correlation of data and direct observation.
- Ability to identify and implement systemically effective improvement plans based on analysis.
- Creative approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of multiple leadership approaches and ability to identify and apply the appropriate approach to building individual and team success.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8 hours per day.
- Absolutely no lifting greater than 25 pounds.
Compensation
- Pay Range: $83,250 to $138,550 annually.
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
