QA Supervisor

About the role

Responsible for maintaining quality and food safety programs while assuring that product meets or exceeds customer requirements. Leads and trains the Quality Assurance Technician staff to provide necessary documentation for regulatory and business requirements. Assists other departments to foster a team environment to meet Creekstone Farms Premium Beef, LLC business goals.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to hourly quality assurance staff.
• Maintains accurate business records.
• Develops training programs to provide growth for the quality assurance staff.
• Provides coaching, development and, when necessary, discipline.
• Appraises performance of assigned staff with appropriate feedback.
• Ensures that sanitation, food safety and other regulatory requirements are met daily.
• Provides a safe working environment and ensures all employees follow health and safety policies.
• Verifies labor hours and payroll report accuracy.
• Develops and maintains a cost‑effective schedule to maximize profitability through labor and supply resources.
• Modifies plant quality manual as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager, Food Safety and Technical Services.
• Provides feedback on improvement of current programs to the Quality Assurance Manager, Food Safety and Technical Services.
• Works closely with operational departments to assure Creekstone Farms goals are met.
• Maintains quality standards by ensuring product is made according to company specifications.
• Investigates customer complaints for quality defects.
