QA Supervisor - 3rd Shift (1156964)

About the role

The client is seeking a QA Supervisor for the 3rd shift in the Quality Assurance department, reporting to the QA Manager. This is a salaried position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise quality technicians
• Work closely and communicate well with upper management, other departments, and employees
• Develop and implement quality and food safety programs, HACCP training, etc.
• Perform data entry and interpretation
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with customers
• Possess an understanding of machinery
• Assist QA Receiving/Shipping supervisor
• USDA Export work
• Data entry and filing QA hold and micro management in the Canopy system
• Submit Export Paperwork
• Answer customer questions
• Product and label inspection for Export Facility
• GMP check, Warehouse allergen storage check
• Review infinity records for customer
• Request corrective action for GMP, quality issue, and monitoring; follow up corrective action
• Special projects assigned by supervisor
• Communicate clearly with others and work in a weekend rotation schedule if applicable
• Hard worker, excellent attendance, not shy or timid in communicating
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Analyze raw meat records and report the data
• Review any laboratory records (FOSS, Sensory, Customer records)
• Assist QA Receiving, Shipping team work responsibility
• Other assigned duties

Qualifications

• Experience in supervision and food processing is a definite plus
• 4-year degree preferred (Micro Biology preferred) but not required
• Food safety, USDA, HACCP, and SSOPs experience a plus
• Honesty
• Excellent math skills
• Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Good communication skills – bilingual a plus
• Ability to organize and lead a team
• Hard working and responsible
• Superb attention to detail
• Good attendance
• Previous QA and food experience
• Training experience
• Experience in writing programs and procedures
• Can work independently and show initiative

Pay

Salary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $70,000.00 USD Annually

Schedule

Shift: 3rd Shift, 9:30 PM – 7:30 AM. Weekend rotation may be applicable.

• Vacation accrued at .77 hours per week; after one year 40 hours accrued (cannot be taken before one year of employment).
• After two years accrues at 1.54 hours per week.
