QA SPC Tech | Nights
About the role
As a QA Technician, you will perform inspections, measurements, and reports related to the production of quality and wholesome food products across our portfolio of iconic brands, including Campbell’s, Cape Cod, Chunky, Goldfish, Kettle Brand, Lance, Late July, Pacific Foods, Pepperidge Farm, Prego, Pace, Rao’s Homemade, Snack Factory, Snyder’s of Hanover, Swanson, and V8.
Responsibilities
- Take temperatures and weights of products in process; record on appropriate paperwork
- Check dates and times printed on packaged product; record
- Complete pre-operational inspections to procedure
- Perform required quality testing on ingredients in QA Lab
- Audit trained individuals to ensure conformance of monitoring on the production floor
- Observe operation of X-ray and Metal Detector machines; record results
- Ensure HACCP and GMP guidelines are being followed
- Ensure Production area is kept clean according to company and governmental guidelines
- Ensure safe handling of food products, including proper packaging and adherence to time and temperature guidelines
- Audit incoming raw materials for freshness and conformance to specifications
- Ensure product conforms to recipe specifications
- Compile reports and file paperwork
- Follow all safety rules
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- QA experience or equivalent preferred
- Resume needed for review
Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to use a calculator
- Proven attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours and schedules
- Basic food-safety knowledge
- Ability to speak Spanish is helpful (nonessential)
- 6 months of previous food-handling experience is desirable (nonessential)
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to walk, reach, bend, and climb steps
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Exposed to hot and cold temperatures, including working in refrigeration and freezer units
- Works in a wet environment
- Hearing protection is required

Pay
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $17.55 per hour, plus a 50-cent shift differential. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
