QA-SDET Tester

About the role

We're looking for a Mid Level QA Tester with primarily manual testing experience. This role is centered on API and backend testing, with exposure to automation and a deeper understanding of system behavior. The position is located in Atlanta, GA in a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing for APIs (functional, integration, regression, negative testing)
• Validate API endpoints using tools like Postman (payloads, headers, auth, error handling)
• Review API specs and identify edge cases or gaps
• Troubleshoot issues using logs and backend data to identify root causes
• Partner with developers to report defects and validate fixes
• Perform end-to-end testing across systems and integrations
• Validate data across APIs, databases, and services
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, etc.)
• Maintain test documentation (test cases, plans, reports)
• Support QA process improvements and contribute to automation where possible

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA experience with strong API/backend testing
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and integrations
• Hands-on experience with Postman or similar tools
• Ability to read JSON, XML, and write basic SQL queries
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Some experience building QA automation scripts (any tool)
• Exposure to CI/CD and automated testing workflows
• Experience with microservices or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,000.00 – $123,800.00.
