QA / QC Technician

About the role

Must be safety oriented and align with Thorpe safety culture. The role requires knowledge of properly catalyzed, mix resins, grind/surface prep., layup, rollout, basic pipe squaring, cutting, fitting, 2-holing of spools, and application of resins in accordance with specifications and procedures. Additionally, knowledge of thermoplastics and dual laminate is necessary.

Responsibilities

• QC all shop fabrication in accordance with specifications, drawings and create QC documents
• Track and keep up to date all calibrated equipment in the shop

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
• MS Office and network utilization knowledge
• 5 Years of Fiberglass Experience
• Must be able to work 2nd shift

Physical Requirements

Able to lift 50-100 lbs, climb ladders, scaffolding, etc., and work in confined spaces. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation and wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
