About the role
In this role, you will provide service on Securitas Technology products at customer sites, including customer contact for all post-installation problems on security systems and equipment. You will also handle special project work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Field oversight on subcontractors to assure adherence to scope and specification
- Develop growing knowledge of specific details, read specifications, and learn best practices
- Assure quality workmanship on detail items, including educating and checking on cable management, device plumb, caulking, terminations, shrink tube, labeling, and grounding
- Take field photographs of rough-in and device install, and support mark-ups for submittals to assure the client that the GC’s Electrical is performing to spec ("Rough in Mockups")
- Attend field coordination meetings, pull plan meetings, tailgate meetings, and safety meetings in lieu of or with the Project Manager
- Aid with schedule coordination and work in certain areas by assisting in the detailed upkeep of conditions reporting documents
- Act as a force multiplier for the Project Manager, supporting all aspects of the project related to subcontractors' field laborers and their practices
- Support RFI processes by gathering field data and intel to cross-reference with spec and scope, allowing creation of detailed exceptions from plans and specs
- Deep coordination and partnership with the Project Manager, Post Sales Dedicated Engineer, Costing Team, Sales team, and Program Manager
Requirements
- Vocational training in electronics or electromechanical engineering
- Security hardware understanding, system architecture, and standard installation practices
- General construction knowledge, including safety-mindedness
- Ability to stand up and advocate for our scope of work in group meetings and engage in coordination
- Ability to read and digest significant specifications and best practices, providing checks and balance oversight
Skills
- General MS Office proficiency (Email, creating meetings, drafting reports, and updates)
- Excel: creating tracking lists, documents, checklists, and operating existing project controls databases
- Word: creating narratives, write-ups, and modifying existing documents
- Adobe/Blue Beam: marking up drawings with field notes or as-built conditions, grabbing sections or screenshots for RFIs
- Using contractor controls software (e.g., Egnyte, ProCore) to access drawings, specs, scope, contractual items, RFIs, and ASIs
