About the Role
Seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA/QC Technician to ensure the quality and compliance of products through rigorous testing, inspection, and documentation procedures. The QA/QC Technician will work closely with production teams, laboratory staff, and management to maintain high standards of quality and safety. This is a temp-to-hire position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality control inspections and tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to established protocols.
- Perform analytical testing using laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including chromatographs, viscometers, and titrators.
- Monitor and analyze process parameters to identify deviations and ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, observations, and corrective actions following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints in a timely manner, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Participate in internal and external audits, assisting with documentation, data analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Assist in the development and optimization of QA/QC procedures, methods, and specifications to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and safety protocols, specifically ISO and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following best practices for laboratory hygiene, chemical handling, and waste management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control/assurance within the chemical manufacturing industry, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and quality assurance principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 9001, cGMP, REACH, and SDS.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
- Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a culture of safety and compliance.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
