QA/QC Technician

RECON is seeking Welding and Mechanical / QAQC Inspectors for piping, structural, and mechanical projects across multiple sites in the western United States. Both field inspectors and lead inspectors/site managers are needed.

About the role

The Quality Control Inspector reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and performs quality control functions to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as owner and client requirements for each project. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed by the Quality Control Supervisor. This is contract-type work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control functions to assure compliance with federal, state, owner, and client requirements.
• Represent the company professionally and negotiate favorably with key members of other firms and agencies.

Requirements

• Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication in a professional demeanor.
• 2-4 years of engineering and quality control experience, or in a relevant field (preferred).
• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Business Administration (preferred).
• Must be a current AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
• Attends required training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes.
• Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.
• Maintains current Welding Inspector certification.
