QA/QC Manager
APTIM is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to support remediation and site restoration activities at the Argonaut Mine Superfund Site in Jackson, CA.
About the role
The successful candidate will have at least three years of quality assurance management experience within the past seven years on projects involving hazardous substances or solid waste. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, including clear and confident communication with stakeholders such as homeowners, client representatives, regulators, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and on-site project staff to manage and accomplish overall QA/QC objectives.
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans for construction projects, including removal or remedial projects under CERCLA.
- Ensure the quality program aligns with regulatory requirements and produces valid, defensible data.
- Conduct weekly project meetings with staff, subcontractors, and customer representatives.
- Write clear and concise reports.
- Implement a tracking system for nonconforming materials, tests, and field work.
- Coordinate field inspections and testing with Government Quality Assurance (QA) staff.
- Maintain strict adherence to company safety and quality programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline applicable to environmental remediation activities.
- At least 3 years of experience within the past 7 years as a Quality Manager.
- Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification with up-to-date annual 8-hour refresher.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.

Pay
As of the date of this posting, the pay range for this position is $93,000 - $125,000 per year. Compensation depends on experience, education, key skills, geographic location, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity.
