QA Laboratory Tech
About the role
Completes real-time testing of products during the manufacturing process under general supervision. Performs fill weight measurements and seam measurements on in-process and finished product capsules. Records test data and applies statistical quality control procedures. Reviews data records for completeness and confers with management on product quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Performs fill weight measurements on in-process capsules and finished product capsules.
- Performs seam measurements on in-process capsules.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Follows written instructions on SOPs, Standard Test Methods, Analytical Test Methods, and Batch Master Forms to determine product quality.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as physical characteristics, performance, and chemical characteristics.
- Reviews data records for completeness.
- Confers with management on any product quality issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science - Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering (preferred).
- Experience in quality assurance and sampling preferred but not required.

- Ability to follow written instructions and SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to record data accurately.
- Basic understanding of statistical quality control procedures.
- Good communication skills to confer with management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
