Description
- Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program compliance with USDA and facility regulations.
- Monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and conduct Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Work with FSIS/USDA and provide records as requested.
- Aid Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Food Safety Supervisors and management in gathering data for investigations.
- Monitor meat product Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL) standards and specifications, correct any deficiencies, and notify management of any USDA regulation or HACCP requirement violations.
- Maintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate and be able to pass all required safety courses provided by JBS.
- Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of completing all work assignments with minimal supervision.
- Capable of motivating, training, and teaching employees to JBS standards.
- Good communication skills.
- Track record of positive work performance.
- Computer skills required.
- Able to work second shift when required.
