QA Lab Technician C Crew
C Crew – Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
About the Role
Conduct all product testing of assigned attributes as presently set up by the product specifications and testing frequency schedules. Enter all lab analysis data.
Responsibilities
- Perform all work functions in a safe manner as defined in the lab safety manual and safety meetings.
- Provide accurate, reproducible, and timely data on test results and data entry.
- Notify the Technical Services Manager and/or Lab Team Leader of recurring or serious out-of-specification conditions.
- Support the Quality Improvement Process and the 5S process through active participation.
- Assist and promote a positive work atmosphere among coworkers.
- Adhere and comply with all company standards and policies.
- Maintain the work area neat and orderly.
- Perform 2 Safe surveys per month.
- Assist in the training of new lab personnel.
- Provide first aid treatment.
- Assist the Lab Team Leader in training new trainees in acquiring a testing lab routine, multitasking, and other training as needed.
- Uphold the principles of SQF 2000 and immediately report any food safety, food quality, or plant security issues to management.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and data management to ensure accuracy and confidence in decision-making.
- Proactively manage safety by ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations and internal Company policies.
- Regularly complete behavior-based safety observations and ensure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Possess good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averaging, computing ranges, determining high/low values).
- Understand basic computer skills and ability to use a computer.
- Become a "Certified Laboratory Technician."
- Have first aid skills as provided by the company.
- Able to work with and handle chemicals safely.
- Able to read and manipulate basic laboratory equipment.

- Language Skills: Effectively read, write, and speak English; speak clearly on the telephone, including handling emergencies; give meaningful oral and written instructions; lead and direct groups in training; express oneself under pressure.
- Reasoning Ability: Reason situations and make sound decisions; make decisions based on facts; analyze situations and react accordingly; recognize out-of-specification conditions and deficiencies during inspections; problem-solve situations involving several variables.
Physical Demands
- Work under stress and perform plant testing requiring movement up/down stairs, platforms, and various equipment.
- Wear protective equipment as needed.
- Come to work clean and dressed in appropriate work clothes.
- Lift at least 25 lbs.
- Possess average physical abilities in eyesight, taste, and smell.
Work Environment
- Safely work around hazardous chemicals such as acids, bases, and flammables.
- Work around moving equipment, loud noises, and technical equipment without adverse effects.
