QA Inspector - 2nd Shift

About the role
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for conducting quality inspections and tests on Fire and Emergency vehicles, providing feedback to internal customers on product quality, and making recommendations for improvement. This role supports overall team goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Interpret sales, engineering, production, and/or quality documentation and apply when inspecting and testing product
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Record quality data and information on appropriate forms and data collection tools
- Provide constructive feedback to internal suppliers on defects and how to improve quality and customer satisfaction
- Perform quality audits of various products and procedures used throughout the facility
- Act as a team player and assist other team members to achieve overall quality, costs, delivery, safety, and teamwork goals
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills
- Regular attendance required
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Three years or more related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in the use of various mechanical/electrical measuring devices and equipment
- Three years or equivalent experience in quality inspection activities
- Experience in the use of statistical process control and problem-solving tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience using various small and pneumatic hand tools
Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in using mechanical/electrical measuring devices and hand tools
- Experience with statistical process control and problem-solving tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Sense of sound and balance required
- Limb and finger dexterity required
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Work Environment
Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold for extended periods of time. This position is regularly exposed to vibration and loud noises.
