About the Role

M1 is looking for a Quality Inspector to support AETC Aircraft Maintenance. This is a full-time, contract position with possible shift work, relocation, and travel.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of aircraft and equipment.
  • Perform personnel evaluations and task certifications.
  • Evaluate work center management.
  • Brief and debrief FCF mission pilots.
  • Provide expertise in all quality assurance programs and coordinate activities with the Lead Inspector.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections to assess equipment condition and maintenance personnel proficiency as outlined in the Quality Assurance MSEP plan.
  • Participate in other Quality Assurance Programs in accordance with the Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to maintenance personnel and the workforce.
  • Determine the overall condition of the maintenance effort through objective sampling, observations, and analysis of findings.
  • Utilize CAMS and other Windows-based programs to accomplish assigned duties.
  • Identify potential problem areas and suggest solutions.
  • Investigate problem areas identified by the Analysis Section as directed by Management.
  • May perform classroom training on forms documentation, training program products, and other maintenance-related topics.
  • Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
  • May perform special certifications including Red X inspections.
  • Qualification on advanced tasks such as flight control, landing gear, and canopy rigging may be required.
  • May be required to qualify on different MDS aircraft.
  • Assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
  • Promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
  • Ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including TDY and travel.
  • Work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years recent aircraft maintenance experience as an aircraft mechanic or above in the area aircraft, specific backshop, or scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
  • Proficiency in the use of CAMS and other computer programs.
  • Appropriate formal technical schools for the specified position.
  • Recent Quality Assurance (QA) experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the AF technical order system and work center management functions.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to qualify for a security clearance if required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a flight line driver’s license and may be required to obtain and maintain a Class CDL.
  • Encourage, promote, and instill a cooperative team relationship using tact and professionalism during inspections and observations.
  • Portray a positive attitude toward mission accomplishment and company goals.

Working Conditions

Physical exertion requirement is medium.

Pay

$46.79/hour
