About the Role
M1 is looking for a Quality Inspector. Primary responsibilities include conducting inspections of aircraft and equipment, personnel evaluations, task certifications, and work center management evaluations. The role involves briefing and debriefing FCF mission pilots, providing expertise in quality assurance programs, and coordinating activities with the Lead Inspector.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections to determine the condition of assigned equipment and proficiency of maintenance personnel as outlined in the Quality Assurance MSEP plan.
- Participate in other Quality Assurance Programs in accordance with the Quality Assurance Plan.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to maintenance personnel and the workforce.
- Determine the overall condition of the maintenance effort through objective sampling, observations, and analysis of findings.
- Utilize CAMS and other Windows-based programs to accomplish assigned duties.
- Identify potential problem areas and suggest solutions.
- Investigate problem areas identified by the Analysis Section as directed by Management.
- May perform classroom training on forms documentation, training program products, and other training related to the maintenance effort as required.
- Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
- May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections.
- Qualification on advanced tasks such as flight control, landing gear, and canopy rigging may be required.
- May be required to be qualified on different MDS aircraft.
- Assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
- Promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
- Ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies.
- Perform other duties assigned, including TDY and travel.
- Work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years recent aircraft maintenance experience as an aircraft mechanic or above in the area aircraft, specific backshop, or scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
- Proficient in the use of CAMS and other computer programs.
- Appropriate formal technical schools are required for the specified position.
- Recent QA experience is required.
- In-depth knowledge of the AF technical order system and work center management functions.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
- If required, must be able to qualify for a security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license and may be required to obtain and maintain a class CDL.
