Responsibilities
- Ensure activities affecting engineering, procurement, dedication/qualification, and manufacturing processes conform to the ASME NQA-1 standard.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an NQA-1 compliant Quality Assurance Program.
- Review project deliverables, procurement requisitions, and quality verification documents for compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Coverage of internal and external vendor audits as an NQA-1 auditor.
- Identify, evaluate, and track nonconforming items or processes and develop/maintain corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with nuclear quality frameworks such as 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR Part 21.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent military experience (degree not required for individuals with 5+ years of NQA-1 experience).
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in NQA-1 Quality Assurance.
- Willingness to achieve Lead Auditor certification (not required but preferred).
- Deep knowledge of NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21, and industry standards such as EPRI and IEEE.
- Strong technical writing, professional collaboration, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Infrequent travel support for audits and surveys.
