QA Engineer - Contract

Piper Companies is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to support a growing client in the technology industry in Morrisville, NC. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite per week.

About the role

This position is ideal for a testing professional with strong experience in Cypress, automated testing frameworks, and creating scalable test automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Partner with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to identify testing requirements and validate functionality.
• Design and implement automation frameworks to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Investigate, document, and track software defects while collaborating with teams to drive issue resolution.
• Participate in regression, functional, and end-to-end testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress and the ability to create and maintain automated test scripts from scratch.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and QA best practices.
• Experience working within Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Pay

$70-80/hour
