About the role

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing strategies to ensure software quality. You will work closely with development teams to understand requirements and develop test cases that cover all aspects of the product. You will also participate in code reviews, provide feedback on testing processes, and collaborate with other QA engineers to improve overall testing efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated testing strategies using tools like Selenium, JUnit, etc.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and develop test cases.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing processes.
  • Work with other QA engineers to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Document test results and report defects found during testing.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact after changes are made.
  • Support incident response by investigating issues and providing guidance on resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in QA engineering or a similar role.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, etc.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of web technologies and protocols (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs).
  • Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of security testing principles and techniques.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
