About the Opportunity

The QA Automation Engineer role is central to ensuring the quality and reliability of the organization's software products. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks that support enterprise web, API, and distributed systems. The role contributes to accelerating confident software delivery by expanding test coverage, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with development teams to enhance product quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Write maintainable automated test scripts covering critical business flows and edge cases.
• Develop API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or similar tools.
• Create and maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable test execution on every change.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing focused on compatibility and performance.
• Conduct database validation using SQL queries to verify data integrity.
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability and identify defects early.
• Support performance testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
• Maintain detailed test documentation, traceability, and defect tracking.
• Perform root-cause analysis on production issues to improve quality.
• Ensure automation strategy aligns with DevOps and release management processes.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and quality retrospectives.
• Continuously improve QA processes, frameworks, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Four or more years of QA automation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Hands-on experience automating REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and software development lifecycle.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Pay

Salary range from 100,000 to 150,000 USD. Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
