About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality engineering for complex enterprise web applications and APIs, with expertise in test automation, quality strategy, and Agile development practices. This role requires a hands-on engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software, collaborating across teams, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for enterprise web applications and APIs.
- Ensure adequate test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing efforts.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium Serenity (Java-based).
- Contribute to and expand automation capabilities; experience with Playwright is preferred.
- Participate in requirements analysis, user story refinement, and sprint planning activities to ensure testability and quality considerations are addressed early.
- Execute manual and automated testing, analyze results, and document findings.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects, partnering closely with development teams to drive timely resolution.
- Support production release activities, including deployment validation and post-release verification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software.
- Participate in product demonstrations, team discussions, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot or other generative AI tools to enhance testing efficiency, productivity, and software quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 to 7 years of Quality Engineering experience supporting complex enterprise applications and APIs.
- Strong experience creating and implementing test strategies, test plans, and test execution methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium Serenity Automation Framework (Java).
- Solid understanding of software development principles, including:
- Object-Oriented Design and Development

- Code Reviews
- Source Control Management
- Build Processes
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Playwright automation framework.
- Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
- Experience writing test scenarios using Gherkin syntax.
- Experience using AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Prior experience validating enterprise APIs and distributed systems.

Pay
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $60,786–$65,916. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The actual compensation offered may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
