About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our performance-driven team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing both manual and automated testing strategies to ensure the highest quality standards for our software products. Your primary focus will be on regression testing, developing comprehensive test plans, and collaborating closely with developers to identify and resolve issues before deployment. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with the requirement that candidates are based in Florida and able to attend the office on their first day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for quality assurance, a desire to grow within the company, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA experience in a professional setting
  • At least 3 years of real-world test automation experience
  • Proficiency with Quality Management Software and testing processes
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs using REST assured libraries
  • Strong coding skills in Java, with experience in designing, debugging, and maintaining automation scripts
  • Experience with Selenium and TestNG frameworks
  • Fundamental understanding of software design, development, and architecture
  • Knowledge of Web Standards, Accessibility Standards, and browser compatibility issues
  • Understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) principles
  • Experience working in deadline-driven environments
  • Excellent organizational, logical, and detail-oriented skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Comfortable working within Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Passion for learning new technologies and software development trends
  • Knowledge of MySQL, CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, JSON, and API integration tools (e.g., POSTMAN, SOAP UI)
  • Business process understanding and familiarity with the technical aspects of software solutions being tested

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mobile testing across various devices
  • Background in E-Commerce systems testing
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development practices
  • Proficiency with JIRA and TestRail for test management

Responsibilities

  • Support regression testing efforts for existing websites and applications
  • Create and execute comprehensive end-to-end test plans for various projects
  • Ensure application functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility across different systems and browsers
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues; verify fixes and system enhancements
  • Develop, maintain, and update automated test scripts using existing frameworks and tools
  • Assist in mentoring QA team members on automation best practices and strategies
  • Analyze requirements to produce detailed manual and automated test cases
  • Switch seamlessly between manual and automated testing tasks as project needs evolve
  • Collaborate with developers to provide continuous feedback during the development lifecycle
  • Estimate, plan, and track testing activities to ensure timely delivery
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements
  • Perform additional support tasks related to quality assurance as required
