QA Analyst

About the role

The Specialty Synthesis Group Quality Assurance Team is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to work out of the Monroeville, PA facility and report to the Quality Manager. The analyst will support PPG’s Specialty Products business, which focuses on product innovation, technology leadership, and high‑performance materials for a wide range of applications and industries.

Responsibilities

• Timely preparation and submission of analytical samples for incoming raw materials, in‑process batches, and finished goods.
• Tabulation and interpretation of analytical test data.
• Liaison between production groups and the QC Test Lab.
• Raw material and batch approval to established specifications.
• Reporting and communication of batch dispositions.
• Participation in root‑cause investigations and problem‑solving activities.
• Support Quality Management System activities.
• Develop personally and professionally through work experience and acquisition of new skills as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in chemistry or a related field preferred, with experience in quantitative analysis using HPLC, UPLC, and GC techniques.
• Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience is desirable.
• Ability to perform light‑duty work, including lifting a minimum of 25 lb.
