Python Software Engineer (GC-2)

About the role

Legato, LLC recruiters (Staffing@legatocorp.com) would love to speak with you regarding the following position: Python Software Engineer in Hanover, MD. Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems and business management information systems)
• Work individually or as part of a team
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
• Solves software problem reports
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
• Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development and requirements analysis and synthesis from level to individual software components
• Some back-end development with an emphasis on APIs

Requirements

• Experience with Python, AWS, Docker, Terraform
• LAT Level 2 Certification required at start date
• At least four (4) years experience in IT applications systems is required
• A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required. Four (4) years of equivalent experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree for a total of eight (8) years of experience
