Python Full Stack Developer

Fully onsite position located in Tysons, Virginia (McLean, VA). Contract role with standard work hours from 9am to 5pm.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications and web services using Python and Java.
• Work with presentation frameworks such as Angular, NodeJS, or jQuery.
• Develop and optimize queries for PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases.
• Implement and maintain microservices architecture using Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
• Integrate systems using Web Services/REST.
• Build and manage code delivery pipelines using tools like ANT, Unix Shell script, Maven, Gradle, ANSIBLE, and Jenkins.
• Develop test automation using Cucumber and/or Cypress.
• Apply Kanban/Agile delivery practices to improve team performance, quality, and reliability.
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Leverage AWS Cloud Platform for development and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in designing and developing applications and web services using Python and Java.
• Strong and extensive knowledge of Python, Spring-Boot, and SQL development.
• 5+ years of experience with presentation frameworks (Angular, NodeJS, or similar) and jQuery.
• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL databases, SQL Server query, and performance tuning.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with microservices architecture and Docker containers (OpenShift and Kubernetes preferred).
• 3+ years of integration experience using Web Services/REST.
• 3+ years of experience with build and deployment tools (ANT, Unix Shell script, Maven, Gradle, ANSIBLE, Jenkins).
• Minimum of 2 years of test automation experience using Cucumber and/or Cypress.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python frameworks like Django or FastAPI.
• Knowledge of Ping, LDAP, or Hashicorp Integration.
• Experience with Control-M Batch Job platforms.

Pay

$60 - $95 per hour.
