Python Developer IV
About the role
The Senior Python Developer will lead the design, implementation, deployment, and support of backend services for a large-scale platform focused on data manipulation and complex business logic. They will work on large-scale enterprise solutions and applications using AWS services, analyze complex data, and provide efficient technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, deployment, and support of backend services.
- Support large-scale enterprise solutions and applications using AWS services.
- Analyze complex data and systems to provide efficient technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain coding standards throughout the project life cycle.
- Cookordination with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and business owners.
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues and monitor environments.
- Create functional specifications and technical designs.
- Implement industry best practices for code and configuration in an automated environment.
- Provide technical advice, effort estimates, and impact analysis.
Requirements
- Over 8 years in Python development, with at least 6 years of recent, in-depth experience using the Pandas library for data manipulation on large datasets.
- Technical Skills: Programming Language: Python (including Pandas and boto3); Cloud Platform: Development experience on AWS; Containerization: Docker; Environments: Linux, Windows; Version Control: Git; Methodology: Agile development; Observability Tools: Experience with tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or DataDog; DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related processes.
Qualifications
- Databases: Experience with MySQL, RDS, Redshift, or Iceberg.
- Experience in automation.

Pay
$90/hr on W2
Schedule
1 day/week onsite, relocation is acceptable but requires living in Chicago before starting.
