Python Developer - Entry Level

Piper Companies is seeking an early-career Python Developer to join a growing technology-focused organization in the Raleigh-Durham area. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers while contributing to automation initiatives and software development efforts in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and automation solutions.
• Create scripts and tools to streamline operational and business processes.
• Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams on software development projects.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications and automation workflows.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of professional experience, including internship experience focused on software development or automation.
• Strong proficiency with Python and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Demonstrated personal projects involving Python development, scripting, automation, APIs, or related technologies.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and basic cloud concepts is preferred.
• Exposure to Ansible or other infrastructure automation tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn in a team-oriented environment.

Pay

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
