Python Developer

Location: Malvern, Pennsylvania
Job type: Contract
Work hours: 8am to 5pm
Education: Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Develop robust Python applications
• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, EventBridge, DynamoDB, CloudFormation)
• Build and integrate APIs
• Implement and manage GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Work with event-driven and serverless architectures
• Troubleshoot and provide production support
• Develop and maintain automated testing (unit, integration, regression)

Requirements

• Robust Python development experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, EventBridge, DynamoDB, CloudFormation)
• API development and integration
• GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Experience with event-driven and serverless architectures
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills
• Automated testing (unit, integration, regression)

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude
• File transfer integrations (SFTP, Managed File Transfer solutions)
• React/Angular or UI development experience
• Experience working with vendors and external system integrations
• Financial services or regulatory reporting experience
• Experience with AWS multi-region architectures

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Effective communication and stakeholder management
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Pay

$51.78 - $56.78 per hour
