Python Developer

Hybrid 3 days/week in either Concord, CA or San Francisco, CA.

About the role

Our client seeks a mid-to-senior level Python Developer to support enterprise data center migration initiatives with a focus on monitoring tools and AI-driven automation. The role involves building high-quality applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and enhancing observability and reliability across systems in a regulated financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using Python and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and robust solutions.
• Utilize monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk Observability, and Elastic to ensure performance and reliability.
• Apply knowledge of OTEL SPLOC.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Implement and maintain best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in AI and machine learning.
• Contribute to the design and development of AI-driven features and enhancements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software developer with strong proficiency in Python and Java.
• Hands-on experience with AppDynamics, Splunk Observability, and Elastic.
• At least 2 years of AI experience in Claude and Cursor; Devin is a nice to have.
• Linux working experience.
• Financial services or regulated environment experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
