About The Role

MANTECH is seeking a driven and mission-focused Python Developer to join our dynamic team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing software solutions that support the Intelligence Community, contributing to national security initiatives. You will work alongside talented Software Developers, Data Engineers, and System Engineers to design, develop, and implement innovative software components that address complex security challenges. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development with a focus on Python programming.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development is required, along with at least 3 years of recent experience specifically working with Python.
• Candidates should have a solid understanding of SQL and database management systems.
• Experience in front-end or full-stack development.
• A high school diploma is mandatory, though additional certifications or degrees in computer science or related fields are advantageous.
• Candidates must also meet the security clearance requirements detailed below.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and design software components that meet specified needs.
• Research and develop innovative software concepts, including proof-of-concept demonstrations.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to understand existing product features and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to the agile development process, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Communicate technical information clearly with fellow developers and occasionally with end-users or stakeholders.
