Responsibilities
- Cook up with third-party pyrotechnic and drone vendors to support show setup, execution and strike.
- Aid in site preparation, including staging areas, safety zones, and technical infrastructure.
- Participate in technical rehearsals, run-throughs and post-show debriefs.
- Support the compliance of all safety protocols related to Pyrotechnics and Drones.
- Execute cue and show specific job duties as set by the Production Staff and Entertainment Management.
- Navigate in, on, or around scenic elements associated with specific production in potentially dark and restrictive spaces.
- Absolutely ensure any drone that may prematurely return to the ground is located and retrieved, following all proper drone and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe atmosphere in all areas of a specific venue, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning up trash, cleaning restrooms, and cleaning the storage/shop area.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe manner and utilize all appropriate Personal Protection Equipment.
- Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures as outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
- Wear and maintain park issued uniform, including black steel-toed shoes.
- Report any unsafe acts to the unit Stage Manager immediately.
- Train new personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum Age: 18
- Shifts are typically afternoon to evenings.
- Basic technical theatrical skills required for all positions.
- Expert skills required for some positions.
- Must be able to effectively communicate to keep unauthorized personnel out of restricted areas.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for the length of shift.
- Must be able to work with ladders, scaffolding or lifts.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others are essential.
