About the role
Serve as interpreter for People with Limited English Proficiency for different social services settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide consecutive interpretation between English and Pushto.
- Listen to complete statements in one language, translate to second, and translate responses from second into first language.
- Express either approximate or exact translation, depending on the nature of the occasion.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience in interpreting settings.
Skills
- Fluency in both Pushto and English languages.
- Ability to read and write both languages.
- Listening skills.
