Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly

About the role

Responsible for positioning of trailers within the milk sampling and creamery facility, as well as the spotting of trailers at sampling and unloading bays. Also may be assigned to move loads around creamery or sampling facility as necessary for pick up by OTR drivers.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a yard tractor to maneuver empty and loaded trailers about the distribution center yard
• Accurately follow radioed instructions in order to position specifically designated trailers to the proper door location
• Safe chocking of trailer and operation of trailer equipment including fifth wheel, dolly, breaks, lights, and refrigeration unit settings
• Inspect yard tractor for damage or broken equipment
• Report trailer damage or broken equipment
• Accurately complete work completion reports and equipment damage reports as required
• Clean and tidy the yard truck and work area
• Such other duties about the trailer yard as may be assigned
• Maintain a professional and cooperative demeanor with customer representatives at all times

Requirements
