Purchasing Supervisor

LCRA is looking for a Supervisor of Purchasing to join our Transmission Supply Chain Team! This role leads a fast-paced and motivated team providing excellent customer service to partners addressing critical on and off-contract purchasing needs. Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with stakeholders and ensure purchasing activities align with overall business objectives.
• Mentor team members on procurement processes and continuous self-development objectives.
• Champion an environment of collaboration to expand strategy development of purchasing support needs.
• Negotiate purchasing terms that bring to bear supplier relationships and capacities to achieve a competitive purchasing advantage for LCRA.

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience in purchasing/procurement, supply management, inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, or other relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in business, logistics, supply management, accounting, engineering, inventory management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
