Purchasing Supervisor

About the role

Jabil is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to work in our Auburn Hills, MI plant. In this role you will lead and administer the Materials Analysis teams for a site, supervising analysts in purchasing, inventory control, planning, and configuration management support, managing data processes, leading cross‑functional assignments and projects, and collaborating with site management to develop organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer the Materials Analysis teams for a site (may include Analysts, Buyers, Planners and Supervisors).
• Supervise the data management process.
• Lead cross‑functional assignments and projects.
• Work with site management to develop organizational objectives.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Logistics Management, Business Management or other similar related discipline; MBA preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience working with Materials Purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes/tariffs (a plus).
• Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e‑mail skills required.
• Experience with Project or Program Management is a plus.
