About the Role
We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to serve as a key link between purchasing business processes and system solutions. This onsite role in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, involves project work related to training, tracking, and building a bridge for business users during recent system transitions and migrations for purchasing systems solutions, business processes, intelligence, and compliance. The standard expectation is onsite work in the office 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key link between purchasing business processes and system solutions.
- Collaborate with business representatives to ensure optimal system solutions and maintain end-to-end processes.
- Develop analytical tools and new reporting solutions.
- Create, lead, and follow up on the development and implementation of new Change Requests, including training sessions and materials.
- Perform reliability checks, data integrity, and metrics.
- Support purchasing team members with day-to-day purchasing systems issues and establish guidelines.
- Collect, visualize, and analyze data to identify opportunities or problems.
- Extract and structure data using specialized analytic tools.
- Build data models, standard reports, and tools for the user community.
- Gather and extract data from various sources, including databases.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity during the extraction process.
- Develop interactive dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
- Design and implement data models to support analysis and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, transformations, and processes.
- Manage and execute projects, including timelines and deliverables.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience as an SAP user and with Office 365.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI and Power Automate.
- Agile Project Management and supply chain experience.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- A university degree is preferred.
- Experience in lean philosophy and root cause analysis is an asset.
- Knowledge of any other language is an asset.
