Job Description
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the timely procurement, delivery, and documentation of business materials, as well as evaluating suppliers to find the best deals possible on goods that are needed for Installation Projects.
- Cook up logistical plans for big projects, making sure materials and equipment are ready when they're needed.
- Find and move extra materials from different offices to fulfill purchase requests, cutting waste and saving money.
- Help spread out equipment among field teams to make sure everyone has what they need.
- Keep track of important numbers to show how well we're doing.
- Get good prices from companies that sell us things, then tell us if we should buy from them or not.
- Handle paperwork for all the offices, making sure everything is right and follows our rules.
- Work with different groups to get things done quickly and smoothly.
- Find ways to save money by looking closely at how much things cost, how fast they come, and how it affects our money.
- Get products quickly, even if it means waiting a little longer or spending a bit more.
- Manage lots of things at once, even when there's a lot going on.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of purchasing experience in construction, technology, or security integration industries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good writing and speaking skills
- Good at making friends and working with different groups
- Good at organizing and thinking carefully about decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP by Design experience
- Knowledge of materials, products, and the security market in their area
- Good communication skills
- Good at working with different groups and locations
- Good at managing lots of things at once
